Ear Infection

Ear infections are one of the most common problems that parents encounter. Children may suffer from recurrent infections requiring antibiotics, or from chronic fluid ears, causing hearing loss and recurrent infections.

Ear Infection Symptoms

Children may or may not complain of an ear infection or pain in their ears; however, parents should be on the lookout for speech delay, tugging on the ears, fevers, crying, drainage, equilibrium loss, and problems sleeping.

Evaluation and Treatment of Ear Infections

During a consultation, the physician will discuss your symptoms, complete an examination, and may also perform diagnostic audiometric tests.

After a full evaluation is complete, your child will receive tailored recommendations for their condition. Treatment options may include:

  • Observation
  • Antibiotics
  • Myringotomy with tubes
