Acid Reflux

Acid reflux, also known as Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), is a condition in which food or liquid in the stomach leaks backwards into the esophagus. Hoarseness, heartburn, sore throat, frequent throat clearing, burning, and coughing are some of the symptoms of acid reflux.

Evaluation and Treatment of Acid Reflux

During a consultation, the physician will discuss your symptoms, complete an examination and may also perform or order diagnostic tests including:

  • Upper Endoscopy
  • Esophageal pH test
  • Barium swallow

After a full evaluation, our patients receive tailored treatment and management of their condition. Treatment options may include:
